In part 1 we journey through time with a very brief over view of the history of our family farm. Now let's take a look at what we have been up to taking an old farm and turning it into what we have today.

Through much blood, sweat, and tears but really mostly just sweat, a lot of sweat the journey began. The 4 starting some preliminary planning and clean up late in 2020. It's really quite amazing the things you find after 100 years. From disposal of junk, cleaning up landscaping, and rehabbing of structures 2021 and 2022 were full swing "gettin' it done"!

And boy did a transformation occur.

The old cattle shed is the first building to experience a makeover. What was once just a building, built with materials from a barn that was torn down elsewhere on the property, where cattle would come to feed is now affectionately known as The Shed. The Shed is now the anchor of the property. The heart. It has already served as a gathering place for many to come together and share in celebration.

At The Shed, we tackled major cleaning up and removal of old equipment and materials. A new fire pit with patio was built in the adjacent pasture. Old broken, not level concrete removed. New level concrete poured. Electricity updated. New barn door. New roof. New gutters (those are so important). And all the lovely finishing touches added. From bistro lighting on the patio to modern chandeliers inside and all the things in between.

The grounds were equally just as big of a project with lots of clean up and landscaping to be done. And even still there is much more we have planned to expand and grow in our offerings!

To be continued, again... (in part 3)

The Shed... a storage site \\ cleared out and ready for construction

Roof work \\ Brand new concrete being poured
